Privacy policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data. Last updated 20 October 2026.

Who we are

This site is operated by APPLOAD Limited, trading as Listen To This, a full-service podcast production agency. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Listen To This.

  • Registered name: APPLOAD Limited (T/A Listen To This)
  • Address: Floor 2, Unity Place, 200 Grafton Street, Milton Keynes, MK9 1UP
  • Contact: hello@listentothisproductions.com

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

The data we collect

We collect personal data when you choose to give it to us, and a small amount automatically when you use the site.

  • Enquiry forms: your name, email address, company, phone number (if you give it), what you're interested in and your message.
  • The podcast check: your answers to the questions, your brand name, website and any competitors you name, and, if you unlock the full report, your name, work email, job title and whether you're happy for us to follow up.
  • How you found us: when you send a form, we also record the page you arrived on, the website that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you clicked (for example, from an advert). To do this, the site remembers these details in your browser for the rest of your visit only.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider processes your IP address to deliver the site. We also use it, briefly, to limit how many podcast check reports can be requested from one connection in an hour.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry and talk to you about working together.
  • To produce your podcast report.
  • If you ticked the box on the podcast check, to follow up with you about your results.
  • To understand which of our pages and campaigns bring enquiries, so we can improve them.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Legal bases

Under the UK GDPR we rely on: the necessity to take steps at your request when you contact us or ask for a report; your consent, where you ask us to follow up on your podcast check results (you can withdraw it at any time); and our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our business, where these are not overridden by your rights.

How the podcast report is made

To build your report we use publicly available podcast data from Apple, search Apple Podcasts for shows by your brand and the competitors you name, and read the public homepage of the website you give us.

The written parts are produced with the help of an AI model provided by Anthropic. We send it your answers, your brand name, website, the competitors you named and the public data above. We do not send your name, email address or job title. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf to write the report and does not use it to train its models.

Cookies

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site: which pages are visited, how people arrive and whether the podcast report is used. It sets cookies (named _ga) that last up to two years. Google Analytics only loads if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Google processes this data on our behalf; it does not include your name or email address.

We remember your cookie choice in your browser so we don't ask again. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites. The only other information stored in your browser is the "how you found us" detail described above, which is cleared when you close the tab.

Our fonts are loaded from Adobe Fonts, which receives your IP address and basic browser information in order to deliver them.

If we introduce advertising tools in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site, who act on our instructions:

  • Netlify: website hosting, form submissions and the systems that run the podcast check.
  • Google: website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Anthropic: writing podcast reports (answers and brand details only, as above).
  • Adobe: delivering the fonts used on the site.

Episodes linked from this site open on YouTube or Apple Podcasts, whose own privacy policies apply once you are there.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards, such as UK-approved transfer mechanisms, are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and podcast check details for as long as we need them to deal with your request and follow up with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. We then delete them. Technical data used to prevent misuse is kept for no more than an hour.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@listentothisproductions.com.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
