Case study · Filippo Berio

The Recipe with Theo Randall

A premium video podcast built around the stories behind food, created for Filippo Berio, the UK's number one olive oil brand.

01 · The challenge

More than a bottle on the shelf

Filippo Berio is the UK's number one olive oil brand, in a busy category. The brand wanted to deepen engagement with food-loving audiences beyond the moment of purchase, and to earn a place in the conversations they were already having about food.

That meant content people would seek out, watch and share.

02 · The white space

Real conversation, real stories

Our research into the food podcast landscape found a clear gap. Many shows were heavily formatted, leaving little room for real conversation, and relied on the same guests doing the rounds.

So we made Filippo Berio part of the show itself: a shared, familiar presence in the kitchen that gives guests a reason to open up and tell stories through food they've never told before.

03 · The show

Some of the biggest names in food, at one table

The Recipe is hosted by Theo Randall, Chef Patron at Theo Randall Cucina Italiana and a familiar face from Saturday Kitchen. A respected name with a trusted reputation, he was the ideal host for the audience, and essential for booking guests of this calibre.

Each guest brings their favourite recipe and the stories behind it. Here are a few of our favourite episodes.
